Happy Valentine's Day!!

So, clearly, I have had this post pending for a while...  I finally got my camera pictures uploaded, so here you are!!

Valentines Day has always been a special holiday for me.  DH and I had our "first kiss" on Valentine's Day, 1998.  Awwwww...  but most years, to be honest, it is just another day for us.  In the past several years, I usually work evening shift on most holidays.  But this year, was much different.  I finally work mostly days, and can enjoy the afternoons home with the family.  I'm trying to focus more on family, and creating meaningful memories and traditions with my children.  SO WE DID IT UP this Valentine's Day!

I know, I know... Valentine's Day is a commercial holiday, blah blah blah.  Of course, we celebrate love in our home everyday, not just this one special day a year.  But, it is still FUN to celebrate love, hearts, pretty things, and even flowers, on Valentine's Day, which is already a special anniversary for Bob and I.

My favorite flower is tulips, so Bob surprised me with 20 some tulips!

For dinner, I decorated the table in all sorts of lovey things.  Things that make you say "Awwwww!"

We made heart shaped home-made pizzas, one for each of the kids, and Bob and I shared one.  Then we finished up with cupcakes.  Of course, store bought cupcakes.  With all the sickness in our house, and working everyday, there was no time to make cupcakes!  But, they were still pretty delicious!  Andrew ate the frosting off of 4 of them, LOL!

We finished our "celebration" with small gifts for the boys!

It has been a great Valentine's Day

Sleep Deprived...

Well, sickness has fallen on our household.  :(  It started with Wyatt, stuffy nose, wet cough, then a fever, followed with one day home from school.  Now, Andrew has it, except much worse than the smaller "cold" that Wyatt had.  Andrew has a barking cough, his nose is so plugged he can't breathe (which is not good for any baby, but certain not a paci baby) and we have been up 3 nights in a row, now.  Friday night (after hours of crying non-stop, and a barking cough that was causing some concern), we decided a trip to the ER was necessary.  2 hours, some labwork, and a chest x-ray later, the verdict was in....

RSV and Bronchitis.  Yup, a virus.  So... besides suctioning his nose, Tylenol, and Motrin, nothing else can be done.  I really am not the kind of mother to push medication on to my kids, but it is heartbreaking to hear him cry, and not have an easy remedy.  So, we will wait it out... together.

I'm not going to lie, when I'm up all night taking care of a sick little one, especially with 8 hours of work ahead of me, I ponder to myself if I am really ready to have another baby.  Or, lots of nights with little sleep.  Then, I look at my view from my dining room table, and yes... yes that is definitely what I want.

The view doesn't get much better that this.

In Baby News

I am now 15 weeks pregnant.  Time seems to be flying by!!  We have announced it to all of our friends and family!  It is finally starting to sink in...

We have tried to explain it to Andrew, and all he has gotten out of our baby conversations is that we all have baby pigs growing in our bellies.  He knows the ultrasound pictures are of a baby, however he thinks they are baby pigs.  And he knows mommy has a baby in her belly, but he also thinks he has a baby in his belly, haha!  One confused little boy...

He's also learning the basics about babies... carrying babies... and feeding babies. (or a stuffed monkey).

Exciting News!!

We are proud to announce...

     
     We are expecting baby #3!!!  Due August 5, 2013.

     You may remember, way back when, Bob and I were preparing to try to add more children (preferably only one at a time) to our family.  We talked it over, weighed the pros and cons, and decided whole-heartily that now is a great time to grow our family.  Well, that was way back in March!!  Time really does seem to fly by these days.  So here you are, WAHOO!!!
